Pathway Development Centre (PDC) would like to express their gratitude in being invited to play against Exeter City FC Academy U10s.
PDC were extremely humbled to be asked to play against their main academy team which enabled our players to showcase their coaching topics, strength, resilience and technical attributes against the best players for their age group in that area.
The fixture was both testament to PDC and Exeter City with an exciting end to end match. PDC were instructed to deliver a high press with an emphasis on players keeping their shape yet squeezing in on the opposition to make it difficult for them to play through. Then to make crucial recovery runs when out of possession.
Pathway Development Centre (PDC) Academy would like to take the opportunity to thank our friends at Queens Park Rangers Academy for their hospitality to include PDC Academy into their Pre-Academy game programme.
PDC Academy have been working on not just technical but also transitions of in and out of possession (reactive work) PDC were immensely proud with the challenge of QPR Academy that our players rose to the challenge, competed exceptionally well, creating an end-to-end game.
The feedback from QPR Academy lead phase was exceptionally positive complimenting our work rate, desire and willingness to work as a team.
Pathway Development Centre (PDC) Pre-Academy and Academy recently attended the Sheffield United mini festival with fellow Academies: Stoke City FC Academy, Sheffield Wednesday FC Academy and Mansfield Town FC Academy.
PDC Academy players experienced new opposition, new challenges and likewise met new friends. In addition, in and around the PDC philosophy, it was important for the PDC players to have challenge in different positions.
PDC Academy were deeply proud of all of the players from U7, U8, U9 & U10 that participate and demonstrated some high-quality phases of play.
PDC Academy U15s recently travelled to Portsmouth FC Academy to represent in a showcase ID event.
This was deemed a huge success with three players being identified and now closely monitored.
PDC U15s have worked tirelessly with their lead phase coach Brian Stocks and this was highlighted showing maturity and creativity to challenge, compete and break the lines
PDC Academy' latest festival fixture was engaging with Oxford Utd FC Academy.
PDC took in excess of 30 players to this event showcasing their skills and positive attributes that they all have learnt at our PDC Academy Development Centres
PDC are proud to announce their newly crowned champions at the One Tournament 3v3 event demonstrating high intensity and physicality
PDC had 2 x teams enter with the colts winning the overall cup final and progressing now to the national finals!
PDC Youth U9 spent the day at St Georges Park, home of our National England team competing in the National JPL Finals
Fixtures were played in the dome on their 4G and with 4 teams competing within this final it was winner takes all to be crowned national champions
PDC players found the whole experience educational and competed very well within their matches with an overall placement of 3rd out of all JPL Leagues in the country!
PDC U9 Colts travelled to London for this fixture which was held in the Crystal Palace FC Academy dome.
PDC competed well and demonstrat4eed some excellent phases of play showing that the coaching they are receiving has been appropriate and positive - getting the players individually and as a team ready for festival fixtures with professional club academies
